I have been a Sheet-metal worker for 30 years and have worked Leather off and on for 35 years and have found by combining my skills from both trades I can make some very unique slings. I do this by using my years as a metal worker to custom design metal patterns, trace them out onto the leather and then freehand cut the unique shapes out of the heavy 7-10 oz. The unlined leather is then hand tool with artwork, that is dyed and hand painted, oiled and sealed. I finish by adding quality nickel plated or brass hardware and a thumb ring and then buff the leather to a nice luster.
