Here is an original WWII M 1907 MILSCO 1944 leather 1 1/4 wide rifle sling. The MILSCO 1944 marking is stamped two times, once near each hook. The stamps are fairly faint, with one being very faint. The sling is in very good, supple condition overall. It does appear that someone rubbed some sort of leather preserve on it at some point since the leather is darkened a bit. However, the leather is well preserved and supple and has no cracks and only some minor surface wrinkling. This sling is solid enough to put on a rifle in my opinion. The leather has a little bit of discoloration in spots on the back. The steel hooks have nearly all of their original parkerizing remaining with only some very light discoloration. Both leather keeper loops are original and have solid stitching. The sling is full length with all of its holes intact. The end stitching is solid.
