The padded Strap has been hand made, hand tooled, stained and finished from quality 9-10 oz. Leather and fits standard 1 mounts. Natural leather will have the occasional range marks and skin grains which add great character, so each scabbard we build is slightly unique. The leather lacing are also hand cut and stained. Loops can be made for most rifle rounds. It is 3″ wide so it can easily accommodate 2.5″ rounds such as 45-70. (Pictured with 45 Long Colts). Sling can be adjusted out to 38. In addition to finishing the leather, the sling has been given a weather proofing treatment to further help protect it from snow and rain. Designed for carry with the lace edge facing upward.
