CUSTOM HANDMADE GENUINE LEATHER, HAND TOOLED RIFLE SLING. IT IS LINED WITH REAL PIG SKIN SWADE LEATHER AND HAS A HAND TOOLED PATTERN. Made in Idaho, USA. Made from quality veg-tanned leather and lined with natural pig skin suede leather. The sling loop keeper is also handmade with finished edging and riveted for extra strength. The sling is hand tooled, hand finished, and sewn. I have been a leathersmith for over 30 years and I don’t skimp on materials or quality. Every part of this rifle sling is finished, all edges are finished and it comes with Brass metal screw posts. This is a quality product. It has multiple adjustments for proper placement at 2 inches increments. The taper design on main body is very comfortable and ranges from approximately 2-3/4 inches at top to 2″ inches at bottom of main body which is 16 3/4″ inches in length. Both the upper and lower straps are 1 wide to accommodate gun swivels. The approximate overall length is 44 1/2 inches it adjusts from 32 inched to 41 inches in length. This is a very comfortable sling. The pig suede leather offers perfect non slip all-weather qualities. I started making these rifle slings over 30 years ago for myself and they are still in great shape. You will be able to hand down this rifle sling to the next generation. Orig WW1 1918 dated Model 1907 leather rifle sling.. From the estate of a very high end collector of militaria from all wars…. This nice old sling was not sitting on a rifle for years too tightly so it does not have serious stress cracks… Looks to have maybe been treatd years ago…. Both leather keepers are preent…. Both brass claws have all rivets in place and solid… Can’t make out the maker for sure but date is clearly 1918…. Leather of course does have wear spots… A great sling for display but as they do not make em anymore I don’t recommend hard field use…. These slingsa are correct for the 03 springfield rifle as well as the Model 1917…. They were also often used on into ww2 so is absolulely correct for that Garand too! Any questions just shout.
