Orig WW1 1918 dated Model 1907 leather rifle sling.. From the estate of a very high end collector of militaria from all wars…. This nice old sling was not sitting on a rifle for years too tightly so it does not have serious stress cracks… Looks to have maybe been treatd years ago…. Both leather keepers are preent…. Both brass claws have all rivets in place and solid… Can’t make out the maker for sure but date is clearly 1918…. Leather of course does have wear spots… A great sling for display but as they do not make em anymore I don’t recommend hard field use…. These slingsa are correct for the 03 springfield rifle as well as the Model 1917…. They were also often used on into ww2 so is absolulely correct for that Garand too! Any questions just shout.
