Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield, M1918 BAR or M1917 Enfiled – Nice Condition. Ther are no visible markings or dates on the sling. This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keepers. The leather is very soft and supple. There is some minor wrinkling and cracking on the surface of the leather. The leather has darken with age, but still retains most of that rich dark brown color. The stitching is all tight and intact. A few extra adjustment holes have been punched into the sling. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle. No visible markings on the sling. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommened for actual use. This is the sling that was commonly used on the M1917 Enfield, the M1 Garand, the M1903 Springfield, the M1903A3 Springfield and the M1941 Johnson Rifles. Check out my other items. Rifle sling made by Seelye Leather Works. The sling is hand carved and tooled. The sling is from SLW Heirloom line of slings. The sling is hand dyed and painted. The sling is a generational sling, able to be passed down from generation to generation. The sling is adjustable, padded and has brass hardware. The sling is made from veg-tanned cow and American Bison. The leather used may have scratches, scars, brands, insect bites, indentations and scuffs. This adds to the uniqueness and beauty of each sling. Made in the USA. 30 1/2″ long, 31 3/4″, 33 long. 3 7/8 wide at the top including piping. 2 7/8 wide at the bottom including piping. 1 1/8 wide top and bottom straps.
