The padding in these slings are made from high-density foam to give it a lifetime of enjoyment, as well as having the comfort. All the stitching is done with nylon thread. The screw posts put into this sling is oxidized to prevent rusting. It easily attaches to any standard sling swivels, and is quickly adjustable from 26.5″ to 43″. Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield or M1917 Enfield Rifle – Dated 1918 – Very Nice Condition. Up for sale is an Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling. There are very faint markings on the sling with what looks like a 1918 date, see photo. This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. Still retains some of the original blackening on the brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keepers. The leather is soft and supple, not stiff. No rips or tears in the leather. There are some minor surface cracks and wrinkling of the leather, please see photos. The leather has darkened with age, but still retains much of that rich russet brown color. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommended for actual use. This is the sling that was commonly used on the M1917 Enfield, the M1 Garand, the M1903 Springfield, the M1903A3 Springfield and the M1941 Johnson Rifles. Check out my other items. Original and very nice WWII Japanese leather sling for the Arisaka Rifle. This sling was recently taken off a beautiful Vet bringback Type 38 Arisaka Carbine. This sling was designed to be used on any Arisaka Rifle (both Type 38 & 99) Rifle or Carbine. The sling remains extremely sturdy, is not age cracked, and remains very pliable in condition. Sling has both its sewn leather keepers intact as well as its original brass stud. Overall a beautiful original Arisaka Rifle sling.
