About good condition and guaranteed original WWII Japanese Type 99 Arisaka rifle leather sling. Full length about 40 long and complete including steel buckle and button, and both leather loops. Leather is soft and supple with some wear and much flaking. Measures 1 3/8 wide. A nice original sling for display with your T-99 rifle. Indian War Era US Army Model 1873 Springfield Trapdoor Rifle Sling – 3rd Pattern – Original – Nice Condition. This is the 3rd Pattern Sling, with the narrow prong hook at one end and a brass stud loop at the other end. The sling is approximatley 1 1/4″ wide x 65″ long. The sling has the round holes. This sling is a single length, NOT made from salvage civil was musket slings that were sewen together. The leather is soft and supple. Minor surface cracking on the surface of the sling. No deep cracks or crazing. No breaks through the leather. It has the original sling keepers. Still has the original rich dark brown color. It has faint Rock Island Arsenal markings on the sling. The sling is used, please see photo’s for condition. The age of the leather, will make the sling weaker than when it was new, and may not be able to support the weight of the weapon. Monogram initials too if desired. Stitch on sling if choosing no shell loops. This can be made only for Rossi ranch hand and. I add a cover on the back side of the sling so shell holders don’t show (not pictured). Color is natural 8 oz leather for cover and 12oz for the sling. As seen in pics these are incorporated into the stock cover and barrel. Assemble is set in a side mount arrangement allowing this to be carried across chest or across back in bandoleer style. Also comes with matching lever wrap! Note : mares leg front attachment is attached to barrel and magazine not like pictured to forearm. Sling is fully adjustable (54 long) , will hold up to 13 cartridges (depending on size) or if you want I can add a stitch / lacing down the middle in place of shell loops. Just tell me along with gun info in message after sale. NOTE: back side of sling will be covered (not shown in pics) this makes a much nicer finish. Sorry that I don’t have pics to display this. Cover conforms , Fits tightly to stock as seen. Laces like a shoe. This is very comfortable and works great for carrying while on foot , horseback or atv.
