This is approximately 56 inches long from end to end. It is 1 1/8 inches wide and 1/8 inches thick. This is a very high quality sling. The leather is in very good condition. And is very strong. The color ranges from a medium to darker brown over most of the length. There is some minor surface wear and wrinkling, but for the vast majority, it is relatively smooth. It is firm and completely pliable. The buckle is in very good condition and it is securely attached with either copper or brass rivets. Most of the paint is worn. On the other end is very clean and shiny. The end with the buckle is. It is my understanding that the number 77 refers to the year it was made: 1877. SWISS SCHMIDT RUBIN K-31, K31, K11.
