This M1907 Military Rifle Sling is hand-made by me in a small one man shop. This sling is made from 8/10 oz. The sling claws are solid brass and attached with solid brass Chicago Screws. Color of this sling is BLACK– this sling was dipped dyed with Professional Oil Dye, and then treated with Montana Pitch Blend Oil and then finished with a top coat of Montana Pitch Blend Paste followed with a Neutral Hand Rubbed Wax finish. All edges are hand burnished and sealed with 100% Pure Local Bees Wax. This sling is sewn with #277 Military Spec. Polyester Cord with a tensile strength of approx. The belt keepers are hand-sewn, using a saddle stich, with Bees waxed Braded Polyester cord, 1.1mm thick. This sling is approx. 50 1/2 Long Strap , Short Strap is approx. There are a total of 24 adjustment holes in the Long Strap and 16 adjustment holes in the Short Strap. Leather is a natural product, so it has a characteristic of its own… There maybe some scars or other blemishes, but this adds to the uniqueness of handmade natural products, no two, truly handmade products, are alike. With quality leather products, there is a breaking in period… Please do not force the leather to conform in the way as you can a canvas or nylon sling–if you bend or squeeze the leather tight against your swivels during the breaking in period, you will crack it and this can not be repaired. Take your time with this sling and enjoy it… Using it is the best way to break it in. If you take care of this heavy handcrafted leather sling, it will last you many years and may become a treasured heirloom for generations to come. PLEASE NOTE : Because of the Heavy Duty Brass Claw, Chicago Screws and the heavy leather used in making these slings–the Brass Claw on the short strap may need to be removed to fit through some sling swivels. We keep track of the serial numbers of the scopes we sell.
