Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield, M1918 BAR or M1917 Enfiled – NICE Condition. Ther are no visible markings on the sling. This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keepers. The leather is soft and supple. There is some minor wrinkling and cracking on the surface of the leather. The leather has darken with age, but still retains most of that rich dark brown color. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommened for actual use. Handcrafted rifle sling made by Seelye Leather Works. Hand carved, made from veg-tanned cow and backed with American Bison. The sling is padded, adjustable, has a thumb loop, and has Chicago screw fasteners. The sling’s starting length is 30 1/2″ long and adjusts out to 33″ long. For sale here is a nice M1907 Leather Sling. The sling is made of a heavy saddle type leather and has blued metal fittings. I can find no markings on the sling. There is no leather smell and there is some surface cracking at a few of the claw holes, and age speckling to the metal claws that are all consistent with considerable age. The sling is strong and supple, but the cracks appear where the sling has been folded for a long period of time. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have.
