Original WWII Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield, M1918 BAR, M1917 Enfiled or M1 Garand Rifle – Unmarked – NICE Condition. This sling has the correct WWII Blackened Steel Hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keepers. The leather is soft and supple. There are several areas of wrinkling on the surface of the leather. Please see photo’s. The leather has darken with age, but still retains most of that rich russet brown color. The stitching is all tight and intact. The longer sling has been shortened about 6 from the original length. This is an Original Functional WWII era Sling and would look great on a WWII era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommened for actual use. I add a cover on the back side of the sling so shell holders don’t show (not pictured). Color is natural 8 oz leather for cover and 12oz for the sling. As seen in pics these are incorporated into the stock cover and barrel. Assemble is set in a side mount arrangement allowing this to be carried across chest or across back in bandoleer style. Also comes with matching lever wrap! Note : mares leg front attachment is attached to barrel and magazine not like pictured to forearm. Sling is fully adjustable (54 long) , will hold up to 13 cartridges (depending on size) or if you want I can add a stitch / lacing down the middle in place of shell loops.
