This sling was originally made from 3 sections that are sewed together and the stitching is very strong. It has one brass hook that has a nice shape to it and is securely fastened. The vast majority of the surface is very nice with some surface wear on the end that has the keeper. Both keepers are very nice but the stitching has come loose where the ends meet. The leather used is Tanned in the USA from top quality steer hides. It measures 1/8 inch thick on the strap and top design piece. Know that you are getting the real deal. 1/4 inch foam padding is used in the shoulder area and is covered with 100% real suede. Adjustable from 33 inches to 39 inches long. The padded area measures 2-1/2 inches wide by 12 inches long. Chicago screws secure the swivels on the sling. They will accept most swivels for a 1 inch strap. The Chicago screws can be removed with a standard flat head screw driver. Leather is dyed with a oil stain that soaks into the leather and will not rub off or fade over time. Sheen is applied to repel water and add a nice glossy finish. Leather is stitched and the edges are hand rubbed to have a smooth, consistent edge.
