For sale here is a great looking US WW1 Era M1907 Leather Rifle Sling for the M1903 Springfield or M1 Garand. The sling is 1917 dated. The sling appears to be marked R. Over 1917 over H. The sling is complete with 2 leather keepers, 1 brass and 1 steel adjustment hook, 2 blued steel slide hooks with blued rifle attachments, and 1 blued steel connector ring. Both of the adjustment hooks still retain some of their blued finish, but do show significant finish loss. The leather is lightly stiffened, but is still plenty supple enough to move around as it should. The leather is good and strong, but there are a couple of places with surface finish loss and there is some surface cracking at a couple of the hole sets. All of the stitching is strong and the metal fittings, though worn, do not have any major issues. This sling will definitely display well, and should be fine for occasional carry as well.
