This beautiful sling is made out of American vegetable tanned leather, handmade, and hand tooled. One of a few. This sling with its shoulder pad will make much more comfortable to shoulder any rifle. It will make your rifle look even better! Made out of premium grade American cowhide leather. 8 oz or 1/8 thick. Oil treated leather, for a long life. Solid brass nickel plated Chicago screws for length adjustment. Coat of water repellent. 1″ inch wide with an adjustable length from 32″ to 42. HENRY 45-70 is embossed onto the rifle sling, as per pictures. Hand tooled Shoulder pad is 2″ wide by 12″ long. It is glued and sewn. Shoulder pad is 1/4 thick (vegetable tanned leather). Made in the USA, with Pride! The sling is designed for rifles with the swivels mounted onto the rifle. WW1 Rare 14 ptn leather rifle sling in fair used condition. The leather rifle sling does require some restoration on the end that ties together with a leather lace the leather is in place but is weak so would need to be re-enforced with another piece of leather if you wanted to use the sling on a rifle or as a display item it could be left as it is. The leather sling is 1 inch and a quarter wide which is correct and on the length it is 42 and three quarters long which is a little shorter than it should be 43 inches and a half is the correct length, but due to the item being so rare it is better than having no example at all. The leather is supple with it two loops in place it is also stamp 78R on the inside of the sling which has been photographed any other markings would have been on the end that has been shortened there is some evidence of this in the photographs , please see the photographs for further details of this rare to find rifle sling.
