Handmade, Authentic Wildebeast Leather rifle sling. This sling is one of three (3) that I had custom made in South Africa in 2005. The base isRed Brown Wildebeast Leather, and there are five (5) Red/brown leather medallions with an embossed “Big Five” head on each one. The Leapard, Lion, Cape Buffalo, Rhino, and Elephant of the Big Five are represented in red/brown leather. The texture and detail in exquisite. The sling has two “shoelace” ties – one at each end. There is a “thumb hole” for when you are walking.

Wow, what an amazing finds. I bought this beautiful NOS George Lawrence rifle sling from an estate in my area. All I did was open the package, as shown, to get pictures. I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled it out and it had beautiful tooling to the leather. I’ve had plenty of used Lawrence slings over the past 30 years but I’ve never seen one tooled, let alone never used. All I did was wipe it down lightly. It could use a little cleaning to the brass fittings as there is some green oxidation. Please be sure to view all pics as they are part of description. Thank you for viewing.

Excellent condition; nearly new, never carried. Thanks and God bless. Please note that we are a pet friendly business with a German shepherd, a Belgian malinois, two Lhasa apsos and three cats. The dogs follow us from our house to our business every day and hang out/guard while we work. If, however, you love the idea of forever homes for pets, you are at the right store.

This example is a’Z-Stitch’ sling which were produced during the war. 1950′s Soviet and German reparation leather slings with straight stitching can be found occasionally as well. Sling is in excellent NOS condition with visible ink stamps. Leather is supple, strong, and flexible. This was clearly stored in proper conditions so as not to be dried out or damaged in a myriad of other ways over the past 80 years. Sling is in excellent near-NOS condition with ink stamps visible on backside and on each dog collar. Leather is supple, strong, and flexible. Of the few slings I had from this era, this has the most visible ink stamps. Amazing for a sling that is 80 years old.
