Antique c1900 Leather Wolf F. Rifle Scabbard Holder Sling. This is a handsome estate found antique leather rifle scabbard dating to around the turn of the century. The leather sling is embossed for Wolf, F. The initials “CCA” are carved onto the opposite side. Condition: In overall good condition. As pictured, the leather exhibits scratches, dings, and scuffs, but it remains supple with no areas of cracking. There are creases along the lower tip. This condition is consistent with age and use. Dimensions: The scabbard is 33″ long and the top opening is 7″ across. The sling is adjustable. This leather rifle scabbard will make a fine antique addition to your collection. One pair of sling hooks for use on antique Winchester rifles, for attaching a leather sling into the inletted “sling eyes” of the buttstock and forend of some antique Winchester rifles. The elongated opening for the leather sling itself is approximately 1 1/8″ in width, and the curved “hook” portion passes through the metal “eyes in the rifle to allow a sling to be attached to the rifle. I do not know the age of this item for sure, however I have had them for a number of years. They do not appear to have been used and are in “excellent plus” condition. They would be perfect for your rifle if it was excellent to near new original condition. They would not look correct on a gun that was extensively worn or in poor condition. This is a really fine gun sling made from top grade saddle leather at a old leather shop in Blue Ball, Pa.. The shop, Browns Leather is no longer there to our knowledge. This piece was probably made back in the 40′s or 50′s and is in great worn condition. Sling measures 49″ in total length, 41.5″ to the fold in the flap, or to the end of the gun stock. It is 9 wide at the broadest point. See photos for details. We ask that all items be paid for in a reasonably quick time-frame. Frazier Saddlery Company Border Tooled Rifle Sling in 95% New Condition although we did have to replace the strap side because of irreparable damage to the original Leather Strap. We have added a new chrome Leather strap which better for a rifle sling due to the flexibility of Chrome Tanned Leather the original strap was made of Skirting Leather and had to be discarded due to extensive damage to the skirting leather strap. The overall Length of this awesome rifle sling is 30 inches at the largest settings and the sling will adjust to 24 inches at the smallest settings on this Rifle Sling. Rectangular Maker Mark is located on the Billet Tip of this Custom Rifle Sling in which the Billet Strap and the Shoulder Rest are both Border Tooled, but we could not match that tooling on the replacement strap. This is a truly rare find and I could not locate a Rifle Sling like this in any of my 4 R. All of the original brass hardware clips, and 1 ½ Brass Roller Buckle are original to this R. Frazier Custom Rifle Sling the brass Chicago screws on the replacement strap are new.
