This style sling was designed specifically for the US M1918 BAR Rifle. It is used, please see photo’s for Condition. The leather is soft and supple, no rips or tears, no cracking or crazing. The sling is marked Chicago Belting Co. Inspector Initials, no date. This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keeper. The leather is soft and supple. There is some minor wrinkling on the surface of the leather. Some surface cracking, but no deep cracks. The leather has darken with age. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle. Indian War Era US Army Model 1873 Springfield Trapdoor Rifle Sling – 3rd Pattern – Original – Nice Condition. This is the 3rd Pattern Sling, with the narrow prong hook at one end and a brass stud loop at the other end. The sling is approximatley 1 1/4″ wide x 65″ long. The sling has the round holes. This sling is a single length, NOT made from salvage civil was musket slings that were sewen together. The leather is soft and supple. Some surface cracking and crazing on the surface of the sling. No deep cracks or crazing. No breaks through the leather. It has the original sling keepers. Still has the original rich dark brown color. There are no visible markings or dates on the sling. The sling is used, please see photo’s for condition. The age of the leather, will make the sling weaker than when it was new, and may not be able to support the weight of the weapon. Indian War Era US Army Model 1873 Springfield Trapdoor Rifle Sling – 4th Pattern – Original – Very Nice Condition. This is the Later Shorter, 4th Pattern Sling, with the wide prong hook at one end and a brass stud loop at the other end. The sling is approximatley 1 1/4″ wide x 66.5″ long. The sling has the oval holes. This sling is made from a single length of leather, NOT the salvage civil was musket slings that were sewen together. The leather is soft and supple. Some wrinkling, no cracks or crazing in the leather. No breaks in the leather. It has the original sling keepers. Still has the original russett brown color. There are no visible manufacture markings on the sling. The sling is used, please see photo’s for condition.
