Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield or M1917 Enfield Rifle – Nice Condition. Up for sale is an Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling. There are no visible markings or dates. This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. Still retains some of the original blackening on the brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keepers. The leather is soft and pliable. No rips or tears in the leather. There are some minor surface cracks and wrinkling of the leather, please see photos. The leather has darkened due to age. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommended for actual use. This is the sling that was commonly used on the M1917 Enfield, the M1 Garand, the M1903 Springfield, the M1903A3 Springfield and the M1941 Johnson Rifles. Check out my other items. Indian War Era US Army Model 1873 Springfield Trapdoor Leather Rifle Sling – 4th Pat. Very Nice Condition. Up for sale is an. Indian War Era US Army Model 1873 Springfield Trapdoor Leather Rifle Sling – 4th Pattern. The leather is soft and supple. The leather has darkened with age, dark brown in color. This is the 4th pattern sling with the wide hooks and oval holes. This is an early 4th Pattern one piece leather sling, not one of the more common ones made from two salvaged civil war slings sewn together. There are some surface cracks in the sling and some wrinkling. It has the brass stud. These slings are getting very difficult to find. Check out my other items. Made of a leather and steel this sling is GOOD used condition! There are some slight marks and wear, but nothing that detracts. Light it color, it was probably not used much. The cross-hatching has faded over time. Original keeper is missing. This set features a manufacture stamp and date on the sling, indicating. A bit stiff, it measures approx. 47, and it would make a PERFECT item for any collection or display! TERMS OF SALE.
