There are no visible markings or dates. The sling has the leather keeper and the leather stock piece. The leather is soft and supple. No rips or tears in the leather. The thatched pattern is still visible in spots of the sling. There are some minor surface cracks and wrinkling of the leather, please see photos. The leather has darkened due to age. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWII era K98 Mauser Rifle Sling and would look great on a WWII era Mauser Rifle.
