I make hand butt stock covers and slings including the hand cut latigo style oiled lace from heavy vegetable tanned leather right here in the Black Hills of South Dakota. They are finished with an antique stain, finish and wax. I use brown Kiwi shoe polish wax so it will be easy to maintain. There are some range marks in the leather. The sling takes 1 rings. Fabulous Vintage Arvo Ojala Custom Tooled “BRUNO” Brown Leather Double Cobra Style Gun Sling – RARE. Has stained, engraved lion/tiger, engraved name “Bruno”, nice possibly silver fancy rivets. The leather is thick and strong, with a suede backing, and there are no condition issues. This sling most likely dates to pre-1990′s as Ojala passed in 2005 at age 85, and this does not appear to have been used. Arvo Ojala was a Hollywood technical advisor on the subject of quick-draw with a revolver. He also worked as an actor; his most famous role was that of the unnamed man shot by Marshal Matt Dillon in the opening sequences of the long-running television series Gunsmoke.
