This original 68 inch sling was the earliest sling used on the M1873 Trapdoor Rifle and were manufactured from re-cycled Civil War musket slings. The sling would be correct for any Trapdoor rifle manufactured from 1874 until the mid 1880′s until early variations of the M1887 sling were manufactured and used.
