Original post-WWII Era Israeli Army Leather Sling for the Mauser Model 98 & K98 Rifle – Excellent Condition. Up for sale is an Original post-WWII Era Israeli Army Leather Sling for the Mauser Model 98 & K98 Rifle. Both the sling and the buckle have the Hebrew markings. The sling has the leather keeper and the leather stock piece. The leather is soft and supple. No rips or tears in the leather. No cracking or crazing of the leather. The leather has darkened due to age. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional Israeli K98 Mauser Rifle Sling and would look great on a WWII or post-WWII era Mauser Rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommended for actual use. This is the sling that was commonly used on the M1917 Enfield, the M1 Garand, the M1903 Springfield, the M1903A3 Springfield and the M1941 Johnson Rifles. Check out my other items. This sling came from an estate sale. The sling looks like it was used a lot, and is worn down. You can see this in the photos. For it’s age, this sling looks like it’s still in good shape. But for us it looks like this is more of a display item for your collection. Soon we will be listing more military holsters and rifle slings from this estate sale.
