This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keepers. The leather is soft and supple. There is some minor wrinkling and cracking on the surface of the leather. The leather has darken with age, but still retains most of that rich dark brown color. The stitching is all tight and intact. I could not find any marks anywhere but I would say by the look and feel of this it is likely WW1 era. The smaller strap side is 24.5 inches lone with the total length (including fold) of the larger side at about 50 inches. Very thick and heavy leather intended for military use.
