Just acquired this from a World War Two vets estate. Packed away in his duffle bag in extraordinarily excellent soft supple and intact condition. Used original WW2 leather rifle sling marked Milsco 1944. Sling is in excellent condition. Leather is soft and pliable. Small amounts of wear around high use holes. No major wear or damage. Original WWII Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield, M1918 BAR or M1917 Enfiled – Marked: MILSCO 1943 – Nice Condition. The sling is faintly marked MILSCO and dated 1943. This sling has the correct WWII Steel hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keeper. The leather is soft and supple. There is some minor wrinkling and cracks on the surface of the leather. The leather has darken with age. The stitching is all tight and intact. One of the hooks has been squared-off on the edges. This is an Original Functional WWII era Sling and would look great on a WWII era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommened for actual use. This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has one leather keeper. The leather is soft and supple. There is wrinkling and surface cracking of the leather. No rips or tears in the leather. The longer strap looks to have been shortened by about 4″ to 5″. The leather has darken with age. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display.
