Original WWI Era U. M1907 Leather Rifle Sling, Marked G. Original WWI US M1907 Sling Dated 1918. The sling has a tear at the bottom with a very poorly done repair job just enough to hold it together. The sling still displays great with the tear being on the under side, I wouldnt recommend using the sling but having it on a rifle for display your good to go. I included some photos of the sling on a rifle to show how good it looks when installed. The tear could also be repaired a lot better then it is now if you knew what you were doing. The sling is in decent condition for its age overall minus the one tear, and is a great original sling to add to your display. (RIFLE IS NOT INCLUDED). The item “Original WWI Era U. S. Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield or M1917 Enfiled – Marked: Rock Island Arsenal 1914 – Very Nice Condition. Up for sale is an Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling. The sling is marked Rock Island Arsenal and dated 1914. This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keepers. The leather is soft and supple. There is wrinkling of the leather. No rips or tears in the leather. The leather has darken with age. The stitching is all tight and intact. Very hard to find Early 1914 Dated slings from this period. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommened for actual use. This is the sling that was commonly used on the M1917 Enfield, the M1 Garand, the M1903 Springfield, the M1903A3 Springfield and the M1941 Johnson Rifles. Check out my other items. Mosin Nagant brown leather rifle sling marked SA T w button 48″L x 7/8″w E8899. Used original vintage Finnish Army Marked “SA” sling with “T” Tallula arsenal marking. Gently use leather sling with light textured surface and some light nicks and scratches and cracks as shown. Square steel buckle looks like it was originally nickle plated. Original steel button included. Adjustable length as shown. Excellent piece for any collector. Up for sale is a. US Army USMC Leather Rifle Gun Sling 1 1/4 Wide Marked MRT APR. The approximate measurements are shown in the photos. Long strap is 49″ long and short strap is 24″ long and each are 1 1/4 wide. The removable leather loops are 1 1/2″ x 5/8″. This is in very good condition. There are no rips in the leather straps. The 2 removable loops look nice. The hardware is good on the front, but the back rivets have some oxidation. The stitching looks good and the holes are not stretched out. Marked in two places. 1 is easy to see and the other is faint so you need good eyes or magnifying glass. The sling is in great shape but I would use it for display only and get a reproduction sling for your rifle.
