Pre-WWI Era French Army Mle 1866-74 Gras Rifle Leather Sling – Original – Very NICE Condition – RARE. Up for sale is a pre-WWI Era French Army Mle 1866-74 Gras Rifle Leather Sling. The leather is soft and supple. It has the leather keeper, brass buckle and brass stud. The are some minor surface cracks and wrinkling of the leather. The stitching is intact, no fraying. There are three notches cut into the lower edge of the sling, see photo. There are no markings or dates on the sling. Original slings for the Gras Rifle are very hard to find, especially in this condition. This sling is suitable for an historic display on your rifle. It is NOT recommended for actual usage. Original WWII Era US Army M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield or M1 Garand Rifle – Very Nice Condition. Up for sale is an Original WWII Era US Army M1907 Leather Sling. There are no visible markings or dates. This sling has the correct WWII Steel hooks. Still retains some of the original parkerizing on the steel hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keepers. The leather is soft and pliable. No rips or tears in the leather. There are some minor surface cracks and wrinkling of the leather, please see photos. The leather has darkened due to age. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWII era Sling and would look great on a WWII era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommended for actual use.
