I removed this sling from a Springfield Trapdoor rifle made in the 1870′s. Sure looks to be that vintage. This would be ideal for a vintage Springfield rifle. The leather is in good shape. It shows some dry cracking but is sturdy. This has a US marking, so you know its authentic and was used in Government war time action. Overall, a nice sling and is made with good quality. Parts Questions and Requests. This would include fitment, period correct installation, additional pictures, etc. I would love to help you in any which way I can! RIFLE (Wood Grain Stock, Black Metal). Introducing the DrillAmerica® 1903 Springfield Rifle. With the look, the feel and even the sound of the revered 1903 Springfield rifle, this highly detailed replica will take your drill team, honor guard or color guard to the next level. Known for both its beauty and balance, the 1903 Springfield is the overwhelming favorite of both soloists and professional drill teams, including such notables as the Army Old Guard and New Guard America. Length is 43.3. Weight is 8.5-8.6 lbs. Made of the same tough, scratch-resistant, high-impact resin as our DrillAmerica® M1 Garand. Bolt and 24 barrel are one continuous piece, distributing weight across the rifle for exceptional balance. The multi-component rifle has a bit of a tone when you slap or spin it and just enough give when you catch it. You’ll appreciate its moving bolt for Inspection Arms. We went back to the 1903 original to capture the untouchable strength and toughness of its rear end swivel. The beautifully detailed wood-grain stock, the bayonet lug (included), and the black metal parts mirror the look of the 1903 original. SLING (Black, Brass Hardware). Made from premium quality top grain leather with rich finishes that endure. Double hook, used on U. Military rifles, is adjustable. Fit all Glendale rifles and all rifles with a swivel opening of 1-1/4 or larger. The Rifle has barely been used, in “excellent” condition. It has some minor dents and scratches that aren’t noticeable, unless inspecting the rifle close up. The orange tip that comes with the rifle is pretty scratched, but still works and fits on the rifle. The sling is “like new”.
