Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield or M1917 Enfield Rifle – Nice Condition. Up for sale is an Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling. This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. Still retains some of the original blacking on the metal hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keepers. The leather is soft and pliable. No rips or tears in the leather. There are some minor surface cracks and wrinkling of the leather, please see photos. The leather has darkened due to age. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. Indian War Era US Army Model 1873 Springfield Trapdoor Leather Rifle Sling – 3rd Pattern. The leather is soft and supple. The leather has darkened with age, dark brown in color. This is the 3rd pattern sling with the narrow hooks and round holes. This is an early 3rd Pattern one piece leather sling, not one of the more common ones made from two salvaged civil war slings sewn together.
