No name on it. It came with a lot of 60s Bianchi, and a Boyt sling. It’s a little wider than the Boyt, 1 1/4. It has steel hardware, maybe it’s older & more valuable that a Boyt? Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield, M1918 BAR, M1917 Enfiled or M1 Garand Rifle – Three Hook Version – Very Nice Condition. There sling has faintly JF inspector initals. No other visible markings or dates. This sling has three correct WWI Blackened Brass Hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keepers. The leather is soft and supple. There is some minor wrinkling on the surface of the leather. The leather has darken with age, but still retains most of that rich russet brown color. The stitching is all tight and intact. This sling was originally made specifically for the M1918A3 BAR Rifle. It was made slightly longer and with three adjustment hooks, instead of two. This was to help make it easier to adjust the sling and to prevent the sling from slipping under the heavier weight and recoil of the weapon. This is a 1 1/4 standard width, so it is interchangable with any WWI or WWII era US Rifle. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommened for actual use. This sling measures 59 1/2″ by 1 1/8″ wide. It is in amazing condition for its age. Markings and no keeper so I’m not exactly sure which gun this would fit. Could clean corrosion away from (2) brass hooks but that’s your call. If you know what gun this fits please let me know so I can pass it on.
