I could not find any markings on this. 1 1/4 wide and worn, but still strong. This has STEEL hooks, and not the more commonly seen brass. I think this is for the M1 Garand or Springfield rifle. I’m not sure what rifle this was used, but this is just like the M1 Garand or m1903 Springfield slings, but the M1 sling is a bit wider. The leather is in good shape. To you, your sling is more than just a strap to carry your rifle. It is an important shooting accessory. This sling is adjustable from about 29 inches to 36 inches simply by unscrewing and moving the location of the Chicago screw and then sliding down the leather keeper. The Chicago screws are made in the US and are machined from solid brass and then given a black oxide finish. This version, with black leather and black hardware, looks great on any firearm, but looks exceptional on black guns and sporting firearms with black synthetic stocks. Black color high quality genuine buffalo leather. Adjusts from about 29 inches to about 36 inches. 1.25 inch width. SOLID BRASS machined Chicago screws with black oxide finish. Steel all metal black SLING SWIVELS INCLUDED. Handmade one at a time in my shop in Detroit, Michigan. No machines are used in the process. Each sling is cut and the holes are punched using a hand punch and maul. The edges are beveled and burnished by hand. The leather surface is finished with a formula containing natural oils and beeswax.
