The sling is generational able to be passed down from generation to generation. The sling is adjustable from 30 1/2″ to 33″ approximately. The sling is made from 9 oz veg-tan embossed cow and lined with American Bison. The leather used may have scratches, scars, brands, insect bites, indentations and scuffs. This adds to the uniqueness and beauty of each sling. Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield, M1918 BAR or M1917 Enfiled – Dated 1918 – Very Nice Condition. The sling is dated 1918. This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keeper. The leather is soft and supple. There is some minor wrinkling on the surface of the leather. The leather has darken with age. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommended for actual use.
