It is marked, Hickok 1943 and has 3 claw hooks instead of 2. The strap is longer than the normal 2 hook sling that was used on the 1917 rifle, 1903 rifle and the M1 rifle. The extra length was for the over the shoulder firing position for walking fire. The sling is in very minty condition and the leather is supple with no cracks, tears, loose stitching. It still retains the natural tan leather color. It has not been saddle soap or polished. This is a scarce leather to find in any condition and this sling would be very hard to upgrade. Leather is natural oiled leather and is laced with a brown colored deer tanned cow hide throughout including thumb hole. Sling accepts 1 or bigger QuickTach swivels (not included). (leather can be different shade depending on the hide). Shells held tightly with heavy loops or no loops at all if desired. Matching lever wrap included!
