The sling is a Boyt 44 marked sling. Original, leather, no fraying, nice and pliable with no tears, etc. Was treated with Neetsfoot oil to ensure it would not dry out. Has OUT OF SERVICE written on it which leads me to believe it was used until the military decided to remove leather slings from service.
