The sling is all intact including both of its sewn leather keepers, not put together from parts, and remains in very solid condition. (leather can be different shade depending on the hide). Shells held tightly with heavy loops or no loops at all if desired. Matching lever wrap included! Original WW II Era leather rifle sling for the Garand or Springfield rifles. It has no legible markings although on the surface near one of the hooks, with a magnifying glass, I think there is a “3″ in the area where a date would be. I could not make this come out in the photos. The hooks are steel. The sling is in very good condition. There are no stains or tears or scuffs. There are marks from use and wear. This sling measures 59 1/2″ by 1 1/8″ wide. It is in amazing condition for its age. Markings and no keeper so I’m not exactly sure which gun this would fit. Could clean corrosion away from (2) brass hooks but that’s your call. If you know what gun this fits please let me know so I can pass it on.
