The marks on both straps are visible but difficult to depict with a camera. The finish on the leather is worn but there are no tears or major cracks. I don’t see any reason that this sling could not carry an M1 Garand in its current condition. Put a little neatsfoot oil on it or saddle soap and it will be preserved for years.
