This Original, stamped Duncan 1917 dated Sling is in very nice condition. It just needs a little cleaning on the brass and you will be ready to use or display the set. Original US Military model 1907 Leather shooting sling. 1 1/4″ wide, heavy duty thick leather (just over 1/8″ thick), full length, two blackened metal hooks and a loop. Marked in several places RIA, 1969 and 69 and CH. Has (4) FOUR sliding loops, as opposed to the usual 2 on such slings. Leather is solid, no tears or rotten spots. Sling is solid enough to use. Is dusty from time and storage. Shows little to no use and wear. I have never seen this pattern sling with a Vietnam era date–was it for the period issue Rifle, Pump Shotgun, Parade use, Guard Detail, experimental??
