MILSCO 1943 M1 Garand, Springfield M1907 Leather Rifle Sling. This is an original WWII M1907 rifle sling, commonly used on 1903 Springfields, M1 Garands, and B. The leather is faintly stamped MILSCO 1943. It shows use throughout, but remains soft and pliable. The hardware is blued steel. No treatment for the leather has been done to this sling. The leather is still servicable as I had this sling mounted on a M1903. The item “Original WWII U. S. This sling has the correct WWII Steel hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keeper. The leather is soft and supple. There is some minor wrinkling and cracks on the surface of the leather. The leather has darken with age. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original WWII era Sling and would look great on a WWII era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommened for actual use. For sale here is a good looking US WW2 Milsco Rifle Sling. The sling is in good overall condition, but is missing both leather slide keepers. The sling is maker marked Milsco, but i can only make out the 19 in the date. The sling is supple and strong, but there is some surface cracking at a few of the prong holes. I wouldn’t want to try to pull a car with the sling, but it will work fine for carrying a rifle. The fittings are steel and are in the white with no finish and appear silver. Just acquired this from a World War Two vets estate. Packed away in his duffle bag in extraordinarily excellent soft supple and intact condition. The is a lot of cracking at one end but it does not go much past the surface. Leather is still strong and flexible.
