Orig WW1-WW2 Model 1907 leather rifle sling.. A great sling for your 1903 Springfield, US Model of 1917 or even on into ww2 for your Garand etc…. Brass claws have all three rivets intact and one or two appear to be copper, does. Beautiful nice strong markings… Has both leather keepers…. Some crazing in areas but none of those deep cracks that many end up with… Leather is overall quit strong and pliable. Will make a great display item or possibly the lightest of range use. Leather has only light wear, it has scuffs and marks from use but none of the horrible cracks from being strung on a rifle too long and too tight.. Super fexible and strong with no signs of over oiling and such… Brass claws have all three rivets on one and one back is snapped off on other.. I kindly appreciate all the interest from my past listing of this sling and I have spent the past 2 weeks constructing another sling, so offered here is a great replica of the famous, impossible to find, USAF M13 Aircrewman shoulder pistol holster sling that was made famous by Lee Harvey Oswald when he used it with his (using the term “his” loosely) Italian Carcano rifle on November 22nd, 1963 in Dallas Texas. This replica is handmade nearly exact to the original I have, including the original style crimp fit plain faced double cap rivets, etc. Please see my pics of my original sling next to this replica to see the near exact construction and dimensions. Features same quality and thickness of leather, plus the correct black finish and shape, plus I was able to achieve just the right amount of grime/dirt to really complete the look. This example truly compliments the look of your Oswald Carcano replica set-up and is a must have to complete your LHO clone rifle display, so don’t miss it as it takes me quite a long time to make this and doubt I’ll be making another one. The last few of these I made are now being used in several museum displays and Television/movie documentaries regarding the assassination.
