Handmade leather gunstock cover 8 oz leather and sling 10 oz leather to match. Leather is natural oiled leather and is laced with a buckskin colored cow hide that gives a real old west look! Matching lever wrap included! Easily attaches , is very attractive and very user friendly. (leather can be different shade depending on the hide). Special attachments supplied and incorporated into assembly. Shells held tightly with heavy loops or no loops at all if desired. Please notify me and I will add a large decorative stitch in place. The location of the adjustable loop can be moved up or down by the 7 holes in the main rifle sling body. The loop is 8 top of braiding to bottom of loop. Total loop is 11 and made from Latigo leather. Top strap is Latigo leather and is 1 1/4 wide and has the quick disconnect swivel installed. And the bottom strap also made from Latigo leather at 1 wide and also has the quick disconnect swivel installed. Adjustments are made by a conway buckle. All straps are black. The main body is made from Hermann Oak leather and lined with a grey suede. The lacing is black calf skin lacing. The design is a chevron pattern running down both sides. Finished in a brown color and the tooling is hi-lited in a black antiquing. This rifle sling looks great. I designed this rifle sling to what I would interpret as the ideal rifle sling. Original WWII Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield, M1918 BAR or M1917 Enfiled – Marked: Boyt -44- Nice Condition. The sling is marked Boyt and dated 1944. This sling has the correct WWII Steel hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keeper. The leather is soft and supple. There is some minor wrinkling and some surface cracks on the surface of the leather. The short section has the common cracks between the adjustment holes, see photo’s. The leather has darken with age. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWII era Sling and would look great on a WWII era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommened for actual use. This is the sling that was commonly used on the M1917 Enfield, the M1 Garand, the M1903 Springfield, the M1903A3 Springfield and the M1941 Johnson Rifles. Check out my other items.
