Original WWII Era US Army M1907 Leather Sling for the M1903 Springfield or M1 Garand Rifle – Very Nice Condition. Up for sale is an Original WWII Era US Army M1907 Leather Sling. There are no visible markings or dates. This sling has the correct WWII Steel hooks. Still retains some of the original parkerizing on the steel hooks. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keepers. The leather is soft and pliable. No rips or tears in the leather. There are some minor surface cracks and wrinkling of the leather, please see photos. The leather has darkened due to age. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWII era Sling and would look great on a WWII era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommended for actual use. One original US issue brown leather sling with brass fittings, couldnt find any markings, traces but nothing legible, I took this one off a Krag that I stripped, but it will work for the US model of 1917 rifle, springfield 1903, 1903A3,1903 Mk. 1, or the M-1 garand. This one remains in good wartime used condition. Some normal drying of the leather from age/use. This was on a Garand. Parts Questions and Requests. M1 Garand leather original rifle sling ww2 WRA Winchester, Springfield. I bought one too many of these at The CMP North Store. This one is in great shape and the leather is soft. I’d recommend still using Lexol leather cleaner on it though just to freshen it up. The brass on it needs polished of course. The only stamp on it says P. I included a picture of it.
