Original WWII Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling for the M1 Garand, M1903 Springfield or M1917 Enfield Rifle – Nice Condition. Up for sale is an Original WWII Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling. There are no visible markings or dates. This sling has the correct WWII Steel hooks. There are areas of pitting on the steel hooks, see photo. The sling is used, see photo’s for condition. The sling has both leather keepers. The leather is starting to stiffen but is still pliable. There are some surface cracks and wrinkling of the leather, please see photos. The short strap has some weak areas. The leather has darkened due to age. The stitching is all tight and intact. It should NOT be used to carry any rifle. This is an Original WWII era Sling and would look good on a WWII era rifle. NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display. It is NOT recommended for actual use.
